Easter is the pivitol day in the Christian calendar marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is always observed on a Sunday. On the fortieth day after Easter, the Ascension of the Lord is observed. The season continues for another nine days leading up to Pentecost (fifty days after Easter). Sundays during this season are designated as the Sundays of Easter.
The color used during the season of Easter is white.
